The Hepworth Wakefield on Art Fund Prize Shortlist

Client News

29 April 2013

The Hepworth Wakefield should be rightfully proud of its achievements since its opening two years ago, especially for what it has achieved for its visitors.  Its inclusion on the 2013 shortlist for the Art Fund’s Museum of the Year award is a clear recognition of these achievements.  Following her visit to The Hepworth Wakefield on 25 April 2013, Sarah Crompton, Chief Arts Editor for The Telegraph and Museum of the Year Judge commented on the merits of the audience-focused approach that The Hepworth has successfully adopted.

The Hepworth Wakefield contends with other national shortlisted museums for the £100,000 prize including:

  • Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art
  • Dulwich Picture Gallery
  • Horniman Museum and Gardens
  • Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery
  • Preston Park Museum
  • William Morris Gallery

Find out how we've been working with The Hepworth Wakefield to support their understanding of who their audiences are and how best to engage with them..
