Aim High - Your thoughts
30 June 2010
We've had some great feedback from delegates that attended our Industry Briefing Aim High: Building your sustainability on Tuesday 22 June at Hull City Hall.
Here's a selection of comments from delegates, extracted from a post-event questionnaire:
How would you describe this event to your colleagues?
Worthwhile and thought provoking
Worthwhile and very timely. Slightly scary!
A very useful event that gave me an insight into ways our charity could improve on how it works and funds itself
I have already explained to some of them that it was a useful way of thinking about the new challenges we face trying to look at income and expenditure in different ways.
How would you rate the 'Capitalising on cultural opportunities' session, led by Simon Cronshaw, Managing Partner of CultureLabel.com and Co-Author of Intelligent Naivety?
It was good to see that entreprenuers can succeed if they have a brilliant idea that they strongly believe in.
I was really inspried by this session and have already started to discuss how we may monetise the audiences we have further. It might have been better had there been more time to spend on exploring practical ways to implement it but I certainly got a lot from it.
Inspiring stuff. I've been talking bout it ever since!
How would you rate the panel session?
A well led session that was useful for last chance questions
How would you rate the 'Budgeting in troubled times' session, led by Brian Debnam, Arts and Cutural Consultant? (Please rate and give comments)
I thought this was clear and relevant and didn't bang on about doing more of the same or just cutting expenditure, but gave some real insight into a different way of looking at the challenges.
How would you rate the following?
I enjoyed the catering and round table discussions at the start too and met some new people which was good.
We have written a recap of the day if you were unable to attend, and you can also scroll through @rachelandcouk's tweets from the day.
